Richmond Park care home is part of Cumbria Council and provides quality residential accommodation. The home includes three units which have their own dining area and lounge in each setting. Richmond Park care home required a complete mechanical and electrical refurbishment package.
We removed all electrical and mechanical associated equipment to allow for all new services to be installed. The mechanical services included re-piping of the hot and cold water integrating into the new baths, sinks and toilets. Each bath included a hoist for ease of egress, and all the sinks were installed into vanity units. Each bathroom was fitted with a full Doc M Packs and assistance alarms. Part of the mechanical package was also to install a new central heating system, this included new pipework and radiators throughout the building terminating into the new commercial boilers.
The electrical package incorporated new highline distribution panels feeding sub mains boards, these then provided new electrical circuits. The building was completely rewired, covering the ring mains, kitchens, bathroom zoning, lighting, and the emergency lights system. Included as part of the electrical package was a new addressable fire alarm, nurse call system, data network, Paxton door access control and a hearing loop system.
As part of DJH Electricals scope we included joinery work which in tailed the fitting of kitchens, vanity units and Pendock casing solutions for the pipe works around the building.
This project is another example of how DJH can deliver the full mechanical and electrical installations from their in-house teams, to outstanding level of quality within the time scales for our clients.
